This course applies to a wide range of settings where emergencies involving asthma attacks may occur.
It is relevant for people working in childcare, education, aged and community care, sport, tourism, hospitality, industry enterprises and other environments.
1.5 hours classroom training and assessment
This course provides the skills and knowledge to be able to handle asthma emergency situations in the workplace.
+ Background knowledge of the causes, symptoms and effects of asthma
+ Emergency treatment of asthma
+ Risk minimisation and management strategies for asthma emergencies
A nationally-recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued to all successful participants.
